These gardens expressed the thoughts of Gods or Hermits. In Edo period Daimyos built many gardens with a large pond and a spring. Moreover, many gardens that had miniaturized scenery were also built. In this time Japanese court style gardens expressing natural beauty like Katsura and Shugakuin Imperial Villas were also built. After the Meiji period Western style gardens like the garden of National Guest House were also built.Although there are few English sites of gardens here, but typical famous gardens in Japan are linked, visitors could be satisfied enough.
