Ukiyoe represents beauty of Japan. They are wood-block elaborate
prints which are rich in color and have powerful expressions. In
Edo period Utamaro, Toyokuni, Hokusai, Sharaku and others drew many
beautiful-woman pictures, portraits of actors, landscapes etc.Ukiyoes
had big influence on impressionism school painters of Europe, such
as Gogh. Many sites of ukiyoes are located in Japan, but English
sites are few.So Japan plaza discovered only four sites now. However,
in order to let foreigners know fine arts of Japan, we expect that
many English sites of ukiyoe will be made.
